background: she lived a perfectly normal life until the twins arrived and it wasn't the arrival of the twins that ruined it, it was the departure of her mother when she was 10. her mother died of a post-partum related infection and no one in her family ever truly recovered. mimi, at least, had her ballet to throw her whole life into and she became very good very fast. now she's a corps dancer at the paris opera ballet, but has just been cast as clara in the nutcracker, her first soloist role. she is coached by the great dame of the company, marie allard, whom she quickly develops a close relationship with and who takes on a mother role for her. together they try to get her ready for the demanding part and for life as it is, without parents who could take the proper care of you.

personality: mimi is a good-natured, optimistic, bright-spirited girl with an edge of sadness about her. despite losing her mother very young, she's the irritating kind of person who always approaches everything positively, believing that her hopes and wishes for the future may indeed come true, if she works hard enough. she is extremely focused to achieve her goals, getting good grades in school and performing well at the ballet simultaneously.
